Axa Distributors LLC, the wholesale distribution arm of Axa SA, has hired Mitch Waters as national sales manager for its Axa Advisors channel.

Mr. Waters, whose hiring was announced Thursday, will lead the wholesale distribution, sales, and business development of Axa Equitable's variable annuity products for Axa Advisors, the New York company's retail distribution channel.
Axa Advisors has 6,000 financial professionals nationally. Mr. Waters will lead a team of 13 wholesalers for Axa Distributors.
He was a senior vice president and the national sales manager for Curian Capital, a registered investment advisory unit of Prudential PLC. Before that he had been an executive director and a regional sales manager for Morgan Stanley.
