Bank of America Corp.'s head of online banking is defecting to rival JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Reuters reported Thursday that David Owen will become chief financial officer of JPMorgan Chase's consumer banking unit starting Monday. He replaces John Samunek, who is moving on to a new role on the bank's customer experience team, according to Reuters.
Owen had been with B of A since 2003 and was most recently its online, mobile, fraud and claims executive. In October, the company's web site grabbed headlines when customers reported
Aditya Bhasin, B of A's consumer marketing executive, will take on the additional title of online banking executive, according to news reports. Bhasin has been with the bank since 2004.
