North Jersey Community Bank of Engelwood Cliffs said Monday that it plans a first-quarter rollout for a mobile banking service using technology from Monitise Americas LLC.
The $236 million-asset banking company said the service initially will enable customers to check their available balances and transfer funds internally. Additional services will become available later this year.
Meanwhile, Monitise Americas, of Milwaukee, said Monday that it has promoted Lisa Stanton to chief executive.
The vendor is a joint venture of Metavante Technologies Inc. of Milwaukee and the British company Monitise PLC, a specialist in mobile banking technology.
Ms. Stanton had been the executive vice president of Monitise Americas and head of operations for North America; the company, which was formed in October, did not previously have a CEO. Ms. Stanton's new duties include expanding Monitise's relationships with banks, issuers, merchants, and wireless carriers.
She previously spent 16 years at Citizens Financial Group, most recently as head of its payments and automated teller machine operations. She has also served on advisory boards at several debit providers, including MasterCard Inc. and First Data Corp.
Frank D'Angelo, Monitise's chairman and the group president of Metavante's payments solutions group, said in a press release that "With her knowledge of U.S. payments networks, affinity programs, and payment advances such as contactless transactions," Ms. Stanton "will really add to the success of Monitise Americas."
