Bank of Kentucky Elects New Chairman

Bank of Kentucky Financial (BKYF) had named Herbert H. Works to succeed Rodney S. Cain as its chairman.

Works will also serve as the chairman for the $1.8 billion-asset Bank of Kentucky, replacing Cain, who retired.

Works, 83, had been a director and the non-executive secretary for the Crestview Hills, Ky., company. Works, the president of Boone-Kenton Lumber in Erlanger, Ky., joined the company’s board when it was founded in 1994.

Cain announced his retirement last August, after chairing the board since 2003. The decision by Cain, who owned about 10.7% of the company’s stock at March 16, to not seek re-election did not relate to any disagreement” with the company, according to a regulatory filing. Cain’s son, John S. Cain, remains a director at the company.
