The financial technology and outsourcing provider, which was spun off from Marshall & Ilsley Corp. of Milwaukee this month, announced the deal Monday.

The $2.7 billion-asset Bank of the Ozarks has used Metavante's Bankway core processing software in-house since 1982 and currently is using it in more than 70 branches in Arkansas, Texas, and North Carolina.

Bank of the Ozarks also uses Metavante's digital check imaging applications, Branch Capture and Document Image, and recently agreed to use its remote check deposit application, Merchant Capture as well.

Mark Ross, Bank of the Ozarks' vice chairman, president, and chief operating officer, said in a Metavante press release that the Bankway software enables his company "to provide the same services to our customers as big banks, while maintaining our commitment to personalized service."
