Banker's Trust signs up Citicorp veteran to run Middle East investment business.

Bankers Trust Co. on Monday said it hired William Taylor, a 32-year veteran of Citicorp, to run its Middle Eastern institutional investment management business.

Mr. Tylor, who was named a managing director, will be based in London and report to H. Kent Atkins, chief investment officer of Bankers Trust's Global Investment Management unit. He was most recently executive director at Citibank Global Assets Management in London, responsible for clients in the Middle East and Central and Eastern Europe.

A graduate of Stanford and Columbia universities, Mr. Taylor has been head of fixed-income sales for Citicorp Investment Bank in London. He was formerly regional treasurer for Citicorp's consumer bank in Europe and managing director of Citicorp Australia Ltd.

"Bill brings over 10 years' experienced in working with the unique investment needs of investors int he Middle East," Mr. Atkins said in a prepared statement. "His understanding of specific client requirements will enable him to tailor investment solutions.
