Barron Made First VP At San Francisco Fed

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has appointed Patrick K. Barron first vice president.

Mr. Barron succeeds Carl E. Powell, who was in the post since 1986 and was recently appointed director of automation resources of the Federal Reserve System in Richmond, Va. Since 1988, Mr. Barron has been senior vice president of corporate services at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

As first vice president, Mr. Barron becomes the bank's chief operating officer, responsible for all operating and financial services of its five offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.
