The $133 million-asset Jefferson Bancorp said Monday that it had acquired 10 branches from Carrollton that will operate under the Bay Bank name. The company has $480 million in assets and 22 branches around Baltimore.

Bay Bancorp (BYBK) in Lutherville, Md., has hired two executives.
The $440 million-asset company said Tuesday that it had hired Larry Pickett as chief financial officer. Pickett succeeds interim CFO Dave Barowey, who remains with the company in a senior accounting role, Bay Bancorp Chief Executive Kevin Cashen said.
Pickett had been with Susquehanna Bancshares (SUSQ) in Lititz, Pa., where he was a senior executive vice president, managing financial planning, profitability and analysis, Bay Bancorp said.
Bay also hired Russ McAtee as chief retail banking officer for its bank. In this new position, he will manage the bank's consumer business, including its branch system, mortgage operations, financial services and marketing. McAtee had been chief operating officer at Andrews Federal Credit Union in Maryland.
"The addition of these two gentlemen will add significant strength to the bank's executive management team as we look to build toward the future," Kevin Cashen, Bay Bancorp president and chief executive, said in a news release.
