BluePay Inc., a Naperville, Ill., merchant processor, said Monday that it has acquired a rival, Landmark Merchant Solutions LLC. of Chicago.
BluePay, which did not give a price, said the purchase brings more than 5,000 new merchant accounts.
BluePay said it is expanding rapidly through acquisitions in the merchant processing market, and the Landmark buyout is its sixth in 14 months.
Landmark focuses on providing card processing for business-to-business transactions.
