Bluepoint Signs Credit Unions

Bluepoint Solutions announced 17 new credit union clients Friday for its ImagePoint in-house, item-processing system.

Bluepoint, a Vista, Calif., vendor, said the credit unions are in California, Texas, Minnesota, Utah, New York, New Jersey, Louisiana, Florida and Delaware. The smallest by asset size is $2.2 million, and the largest, $2.8 billion.

"Credit unions of all asset sizes, across all geographic regions, and with all types of memberships are demonstrating the value of moving their item-processing in-house and taking control of this crucial operation," Hal Tilbury, Bluepoint's founder and chief executive, said in a press release.

The 17 credit unions are taking advantage of cost and labor reductions made possible by image-based processing with the ImagePoint software, Tilbury said.

Check imaging "has significantly modified the item-processing environment because the value previously inherent [in] outsourcing the process is now nonexistent," he said.
