Boston Private Financial Holdings Inc. announced the election of Deborah Foye Kuenstner and Adolfo Henriques to its board.

Ms. Kuenstner is the chief investment officer and vice president of investment management at Brandeis University, the banking company said Thursday. Mr. Henriques is the president and chief executive officer of Florida East Coast Industries.
Ms. Kuenstner joined Brandeis in January. She was a managing director of research at Fidelity Management and Research Co. in Boston and, before that, chief investment officer of global value at Putnam Investments.
Mr. Henriques was chief executive officer of the south region at Regions Bank. The elections take effect Aug. 31 and bring Boston Private's board roster to 13.
