Autonomous Research in London has hired two banking analysts to establish a division that will cover U.S. financial services companies.
Guy Moszkowski will serve as chief executive of Autonomous Research USA, and Brian Foran will serve as head of regional banks research. The U.S. unit, which will be based in New York, is expected to begin operations late this year, Autonomous said Monday.
Most recently Moszkowski was a managing director at Bank of America's (BAC) Merrill Lynch unit, where he covered large U.S. banks and other asset classes. Before that he was a research analyst at Citigroup (NYSE:C) and at Sanford C. Bernstein.
Foran is coming from Nomura (NMR) where he was a managing director covering regional banks and credit cards. He was a managing director covering regional banks, credit cards and trust banks at Goldman Sachs (GS) before that.
Autonomous Research is an independent firm that researches banking and insurance companies. It was established in 2009.
