California CU Picks Web Banking Vendor

Provident Credit Union said Monday that it is planning to use several online banking applications from Online Resources Corp.

The Chantilly, Va., vendor said the credit union in Redwood Shores, Calif., expects to have its online banking software running by midyear, as well as bill payment, account opening, online lending, and personal financial management applications. Provident also plans to use Online Resources' technology such as remote deposit capture.

"Online Resources' full spectrum of solutions meet our wide-ranging needs and provide us with a high degree of control and flexibility," Connie Finch, Provident's vice president of information technology, said in a press release. It did not name its current online banking technology providers, though its Web site lists CheckFree Corp., a division of Fiserv Inc., as its bill pay provider.
