Equifax Inc. of Atlanta and HNC Software Inc. of San Diego have launched Gemini Bankruptcy Solution, their first joint product since announcing an alliance last June.
The system is designed to detect accounts that are likely to go into bankruptcy. It combines Equifax's Bankruptcy Navigator Index Score with HNC's ProfitMax Bankruptcy cardholder bankruptcy prediction system.
Gemini Bankruptcy Solution will identify 25% more troubled accounts than traditional tools do, said HNC spokeswoman Patricia Campbell.
"This is the kind of innovation that is increasingly important in ensuring that the science of credit scoring keeps pace with the information explosion," said James Allhusen, executive vice president and group executive, Equifax North American Information Services.
