Yoyodyne, a prominent Internet marketing company, has signed up MasterCard International to be chief sponsor of its EZSpree promotion.

Beginning Aug. 17, consumers will be directed from the ezspree.com Web site to various on-line merchants, and MasterCard cardholders will get special offers.

Officials of MasterCard and Yoyodyne, a three-year-old company that has created more than 100 on-line promotions, said they expect at least a half- million shoppers will be guided to as many as 400 Internet storefronts, including those of Brookstone, CD World, Virtual Vineyards, and Wal-Mart.

The promotion includes a contest for a $100,000 on-line shopping spree.
