DENVER - Will F. Nicholson Jr. has been named chairman of Rocky Mountain BankCard System.

Mr. Nicholson, 65, recently resigned as chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Colorado National Bankshares. Both companies are Denver-based subsidiaries of First Bank System Inc., Minneapolis.

Robert J. Malone, chairman and CEO of Colorado National Bank, will succeed Mr. Nicholson at the bank holding company. John L. Busselmaier will continue as Rocky Mountain BankCard's president.

Mr. Nicholson will remain on the boards of Visa U.S.A. and Visa International. He has been Visa U.S.A.'s chairman since 1990.
