CFO of ViewPoint in Texas to Resign

The chief financial officer of ViewPoint Financial Group (VPFG) is stepping down.

Pathie McKee will resign from the CFO role on July 31 but will remain as a consultant through yearend, the Plano, Texas, company announced Wednesday. ViewPoint has begun searching for her successor.

McKee, 47, has been ViewPoint's CFO since 1997 and has been with the company since 1983.

ViewPoint also announced that Kari Anderson has been promoted to chief accounting officer from senior vice president and controller, and will serve as interim CFO. Anderson has been in her current role for 11 years and has been with ViewPoint since 1993.

McKee "has made significant contributions to the company during her long tenure here, and we wish her well in her future endeavors," Kevin Hanigan, ViewPoint's president and chief executive, said in the news release. "We are taking steps to ensure a smooth transition of this important role, and are pleased that [McKee] will remain with us in a consulting capacity."

The $3.4 billion-asset ViewPoint has 31 branches in Texas.
