Citi Unveils EBPP Service

Citigroup Inc. has developed a service to let its credit card customers receive, review, pay, and organize their bills online.

The vendor of Citibank Bill Manager, which was unveiled Thursday, is Lawrenceville, N.J.-based Paytrust Inc. Citigroup is an investor in privately held Paytrust, which bought PayMyBills.com in September.

Citibank is Paytrust's first major bank customer. Its other customers include American Express Co., GE Financial Network, NextCard, Yodlee, and OnMoney.com, a subsidiary of Ameritrade Holdings Co.

Citibank Bill Manager customers can receive notifications of incoming bills through e-mail, schedule payments from check writing accounts, and access bill histories. A downloadable feature permits information-sharing with financial management software packages, and customers can also arrange to pay some bills automatically.

Users of Account Online, a Citibank information service for MasterCard and Visa cardholders, are being offered a free three-month Bill Manager trial. After the trial the monthly subscription fee will be $8.95.
