Intercredit Bank of Miami has agreed to use mobile banking software from ClairMail Inc.
The Novato, Calif., banking software vendor announced Wednesday that Intercredit would use a mobile banking suite that includes text messaging, Web applications, and banking software that can be downloaded into phones.
ClairMail's software also enables banks to send alerts to customers' phones about low balances and other account details selected by customers; consumers can respond to these alerts with their phones.
"We wanted to empower our customers to select their preferred mobile interface, define alerts preferences and utilize any mobile phone," Mauricio Laniado, Intercredit's chief executive, said in a ClairMail press release.
