The payroll services provider CompuPay Inc. has agreed to buy KeyCorp's online payroll service.
CompuPay, a Miramar, Fla., company, said last week that it would buy the assets of the Cleveland company's Key Payroll Online unit. It did not disclose the price for the deal, which is to close April 1.
"Key Payroll Online is an excellent strategic fit for our business," Charlie Lathrop, CompuPay's chairman, said in a press release.
Key said that it would continue to market Key Payroll Online's services to Key clients after the deal closes and that CompuPay would become its preferred payroll provider.
