Corliss succeeds Hamilton.

Merrill Lynch & Co. this week announced that Samuel B. Corliss Jr. will become manager of the firm's municipal derivative products group, succeeding Douglas W. Hamilton.

In a statement, the firm said Mr. Hamilton had requested the move and will be concentrating on "strategic issues and selected clients."

Mr. Corliss, who had been based in Los Angeles and was responsible for the firm's public finance activities in the West, will report to John D. Miller, director of municipal markets, in New York. H. Cody Press 3d will assume Mr. Corliss's responsibilities.
