Correction

The Thursday page 1 article "Wamu Sees Falling Rates Enhancing Its Earnings" reported incorrectly that chief executive officer Kerry Killinger has set a goal of 18.6% annual growth in earnings per share. Washington Mutual Inc.'s publicly stated goal is to exceed 13% growth in earnings per share; its annual profit growth rate for the past five years is 18.6%.
