Corrections: 07/11/97 issue

Errors in a statistical report by Veribanc Inc. were carried over to a chart that accompanied a July 11 article, "68% of Thrift Card Delinquency at Just 5 Thrifts" (page 12). Credit card chargeoffs at thrifts in the first quarter of 1997 were $115 million, not billion, and the five thrifts with the most chargeoffs were responsible for $82 million of that total. Among banks, the five with the most card delinquencies contributed $900 million to the industry's first-quarter total of $4.45 billion.
