A misreading of data underlay an April 4 article on page 13 about Royal Bank of Canada's choice of software for an Internet business banking service.

The premise was that because the bank owned 25% of S1 Corp., which also sells Internet banking software, choosing a rival's product snubbed S1. In fact, Royal owns just 2.8%.

"Bank Directors Face an Ever-Evolving Role" on page 16A of the April 3 Community Banking supplement used the wrong courtesy title for a Fort Lauderdale banker. An editing error was to blame. Though formed there, it is now based in Miami.
