In the Aug. 9 issue, "Countrywide Credit Might Fetch Best Price from a European Buyer" on page 1 should have credited Michael T. Vinciquerra, an analyst at Raymond James & Associates Inc., as a source for some ideas.
A chart on page 12 that listed potential suitors for Countrywide was based on interviews with many analysts and a report by Mr. Vinciquerra.
The Aug. 21 article "B-to-B Firm Ariba Attracts Four Big Banks, Amex" on page 1 misstated the roles of Bank of America Corp., ABN Amro, and Bankserv. The first two will provide Internet payment services to Ariba marketplaces; Bankserv will provide wire transfer services and, for banks unequipped to connect to the marketplaces, a way to do so.
The Aug. 30 article "Do You Yahoo? Answer Is 'Yes' for 200 Banks" on page 1 understated the number of registered Yahoo Inc. Web site users. The correct figure is 156 million, the company says.
