The name of an award that Los Alamos National Bank has won was misspelled in a page 1 headline Wednesday. The headline should have read: “Banking’s First Baldrige.”

The Tuesday front-page story “Failed Online Loan Site Serves Up Web Lessons” erred in saying that E-Loan has “consistently” missed revenue and earnings targets. It has missed analysts’ targets for only one quarter. In addition, Justin Hughes, a research analyst at Robertson Stephens, who said that LendingTree has not been profitable, was inaccurately interpreted as saying that Web lenders cannot be profitable.

The Wednesday front-page story “The Toughest Job in America? B of A’s McColl Is Keeping It” misspelled the first name of Timm Crull, a former Bank of America Corp. director, and understated the height of the company’s headquarters tower, which is 871 feet.
