The page 20 story Friday “Dimon Warning Heeded, But Other Steps Rate High” misstated the direction of the revision by Catherine L. Murray, an analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., of her 2002 earnings estimate for Bank One Corp. She reduced her estimate to $2.93 a share, from $3.03.

In a brief item appearing on page 9 of the May 30 issue and in the Executive Changes column that appeared on page 2 June 4, the last name of Carl B. Webb, president and chief operating officer of California Federal Bank, was misspelled. The May 30 brief also misstated the action taken regarding Michael Walker, an executive vice president and director of commercial real estate; he was given responsibility for commercial realty loan servicing and single-family remediation in addition to his other role.

The Executive Changes item also truncated the title — chief credit officer — given to Kenneth A. Shannon, who was also promoted to executive vice president of the Golden State Bancorp. subsidiary. Both executives report to Mr. Webb.
