Worthy, a Dallas native, is replacing executive vice president Bob Hankins, who is retiring on April 1.

Worthy began her career with the Dallas Fed in 1969. She most recently was responsible for the discount and credit department, which includes the discount window, reserve maintenance and payments system risk functions. Worthy will continue to oversee the discount and credit division and will assume responsibility for the department of financial industry studies, the Dallas Fed said Tuesday.

Worthy also previously oversaw the commercial bank and bank holding company examination functions as well as information technology examinations in the banking supervision department.
