David T. Harrison, CEO of Clarkston Financial, and Wife Killed in Traffic Accident

CLARKSTON, Mich., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- David T. Harrison, chief executive officer of Clarkston Financial Corp. (CKSB), and his wife Wanda were killed Thursday in an Ontario, Canada, traffic accident.

The Harrisons, residents of Clarkston, were returning by motorcycle from a cycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, and died in a collision with a car about 60 miles north of Saulte Ste. Mr. Harrison, 59, was a founder of Clarkston Financial, the parent company of Clarkston State Bank, which opened in 1999. He served as CEO of the bank until June 30, 2002, and continued as CEO of the holding company thereafter.

From 1961 to 1991 he worked for First of America Bank, in his final position as president and CEO of First of America Bank-Southeast Michigan. Prior to the forming of Clarkston Financial, he was president of Pinnacle Appraisal Group in Clarkston and was engaged in residential construction.

Mr. Harrison and his wife, also 59, were parents of Kim A. Harrison-Echlin of Clarkston and grandparents to their daughter Madison, and Kevin Harrison of Chicago.
