All Diners Club International Ltd. cardholders can now withdraw cash at the 64,000 automated teller machines in the United Kingdom operated by Link Interchange Network Ltd.
The agreement announced Tuesday expands on an earlier arrangement that permitted only U.K. Diners Club cardholders to use Link's ATMs.
The deal is the latest in a string of agreements that Discover Financial Services, has signed in recent months with regional ATM networks around the world aimed at building a global ATM network for its Diners Club unit.
In most cases, Discover credit cardholders eventually will share the ATM and point-of-sale access that Diners Club cardholders have, the Riverwoods, Ill., card company has said.
Discover bought the Diners Club travel-and-entertainment charge card brand last year from Citigroup Inc. for $165 million.
In recent months, Discover has announced similar agreements with regional payment networks in India, Canada and Europe.
