DNB in Pennsylvania Adds Former State Banking Leader to Board

A former president and chief executive of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association has joined the board of DNB Financial (DNBF) in Downingtown, Pa.

James Biery has joined the $651 million-asset DNB's board after 22 years at the helm of the state trade association. He also served as chair of the Pennsylvania Department of Banking Transition Team and is a current board member of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System.

Biery "has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the banking industry and Pennsylvania's community banks" throughout his career, DNB Chairman and Chief Executive William Latoff said in a Monday press release. "He has guided the industry through robust and challenging economic times, and provided critical advocacy to help shape political, regulatory and economic policy affecting the banking industry."
