Dodd Sets SEC, Fed Nomination Hearings

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd said Wednesday that his panel will consider nominations to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Reserve Board and Council of Economic Advisors next week.

The hearing, scheduled for Jan. 15, will consist of two panels. The first will give Mary Schapiro a chance to make her case to become the chairman of the SEC.

The second panel will feature Daniel Tarullo, who is nominated to a set at the Fed and Christina Romer, who was selected to chair the CEA. Austan Goolsbee and Cecilia Rouse will speak on their nominations as CEA members.
