TNR Entertainment Corp., which operates a network of self-service DVD rental machines, has named NCR Corp. its exclusive kiosk supplier.
The agreement, announced last week, helps the Dayton, Ohio, company continue its effort to diversify beyond automated teller machines.
TNR operates 2,200 movie rental machines nationwide, and NCR said it will place "volume orders" for its Xpress Entertainment kiosks this year. The Houston company has also signed a multiyear service agreement with NCR.
Bill Nuti, NCR's chairman and chief executive, said in a press release that the agreement "further validates our strategy of expanding NCR self-service solutions beyond our traditional financial and retail industry strongholds into adjacent markets."
