Enterprise Financial Services in Clayton, Mo., said Wednesday that it has promoted James Lally to president.
Lally, 48, had been the head of fee income businesses for the $3.6 billion-asset holding company. He will report to Peter Benoist, 68, who has agreed to extend his term as chief executive through 2017 or until his successor is appointed.
The presidents of the fee income businesses and of Enterprise Bank & Trust will report to Lally, as will the company's chief financial officer, chief credit officer and head of human resources.

Lally joined Enterprise in 2003 as a vice president and relationship manager. In 2008, he was named president of the Clayton unit, and in 2011 he took on the additional role of president of the St. Louis region, according to the company's website. In May he was put in charge of wealth management, private banking and mortgage banking.
