NEW ENGLAND

Rockville Bank in Connecticut has promoted Richard J. Trachimowicz to executive vice president.

Trachimowicz will oversee retail banking, human resources, legal facilities, purchasing and product management for the $1.5 billion-asset Rockville Bank.

He had been the senior vice president of human resources and administrative services since 2005. Before that he was a senior vice president and retail banking officer.

He has worked for Rockville Bank since 1996.


SOUTHEAST

BankUnited of Miami Lakes, Fla., has hired Harlan Parrish as the senior executive vice president of neighborhood banking.

Parrish will oversee the development of the $11.4 billion-asset Bank United's retail branch network.

He was the president and chief executive officer of the southwest and coastal regions of Colonial Bank.

Before that he was the senior executive vice president and director of Colonial's retail line of business.

He had worked for Colonial for 26 years.


SOUTHWEST

Texas Gulf Bank in Freeport has hired Chad M. Sundbeck as the vice president of commercial lending for its Houston network.

Sundbeck was a vice president and business banking officer at Capital One Financial Corp.

Before that he was a vice president and commercial loan officer at Sterling Bank Corp.

Earlier, he was a business manager for Merrill Lynch & Co.'s business financial services unit.

Texas Gulf Bank has $302 million of assets.
