MIDDLE ATLANTIC
SussexBank of Franklin, N.J., has hired Steve Fusco as its executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Fusco had been a vice president and treasury manager of Investors Savings Bank since 2008. Before that he was the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Mariner's Bank in Edgewater. Earlier he was a first vice president and treasurer of Interchange Bank, where he had worked for 10 years.
Fusco succeeded Candace Leatham as chief financial officer. Leatham left to pursue other opportunities, the bank said. She had worked for the $469 million-asset Sussex for 25 years.
North Jersey Community Bank in Englewood Cliffs has hired Michelle Calise as its senior vice president and retail officer.
Calise was the service director for Wachovia, where she oversaw the performance and development of management teams in northern New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y.
North Jersey Community Bank has $523 million of assets.
SOUTHEAST
BankUnited of Miami Lakes, Fla., has hired Ronald Garman as senior vice president of human resources.
Garman served in various human resources roles at Sabadell United Bank and its predecessor institutions, where he had worked for more than 20 years. He oversaw systems conversions and developed policies to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
BankUnited has $11.4 billion of assets.
MIDWEST
Heartland Bank in St. Louis has promoted Mark Sandau to executive vice president and MaryBeth Lee and Gloria McCarter to senior vice presidents.
Sandau will remain the president of Heartland's mortgage unit. He joined the $923 million-asset bank in 1996 and became mortgage unit president in 2000.
Lee will oversee Heartland's banking centers as well as private banking and wealth management, and treasury management sales. She was the vice president of operations. Before that she was the assistant vice president of retail administration.
McCarter will oversee all of Heartland's operations. She joined the bank in 2009.
WEST
New Resource Bank of San Francisco has hired Robert Holden as senior vice president and commercial relationship manager.
Holden was the executive vice president and chief credit officer of Pan Pacific Bank in Fremont, Calif. Before that he was a senior vice president at the Bay Area Development Center in Walnut Creek, Calif.
New Resource Bank has $179 million of assets.
