Cole Taylor Bank in Chicago has hired Lawrence G. Ryan as its executive vice president of commercial banking.

Mr. Ryan was a Chicago market executive at Bank of America Corp., which he joined last year when it bought LaSalle Bank Corp. from ABN Amro Holding NV. Before that he had worked 27 years at LaSalle, most recently as group senior vice president of its Illinois metropolitan banking group, which he helped form.

Cole Taylor Bank is a $3.5 billion-asset unit of Taylor Capital Group Inc.


MIDDLE ATLANTICFox Chase Bancorp Inc. in Hatboro, Pa., has promoted Jerry Holbrook to chief operating officer, Roger Deacon to executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Keiron Lynch to chief payments officer.

Mr. Holbrook was the $812 million-asset company's CFO and had been an executive vice president since 2005. Before that he was an executive vice president, the CFO, and the corporate secretary at Northeast Pennsylvania Financial Corp. and its main subsidiary, First Federal Bank. (KNBT Bancorp Inc. bought Northeast Pennsylvania in 2005.)

The chief operating officer post is newly created.

Mr. Deacon was the chief accounting officer and now will oversee margin expansion, interest rate risk management, and cost containment. Before joining Fox Chase he was a senior vice president and the CFO at Nova Savings Bank in Philadelphia, posts he had held since 2005. Before that he was the CFO at I4 Commerce Inc.

Mr. Lynch had been the chief administration officer and an executive vice president since 2005. Before that he had been the president of global commerce product development at the Visa International Service Association since 1999.


S&T Bank in Indiana, Pa., has promoted Todd D. Brice to chief executive officer.

Mr. Brice was the executive vice president of commercial lending.

He will remain a director of the bank's parent, S&T Bancorp Inc. He has worked at the $3.3 billion-asset bank for 24 years.


SOUTHEASTBank of Granite in Granite Falls, N.C., has promoted Karen Beal Warlick to chief administrative officer.

Ms. Warlick joined the $1.2 billion-asset bank as a senior vice president and human resources director in 2003. She will continue to lead the HR department.

Before joining Bank of Granite she was a commercial administrative officer for the Carolinas and Georgia at Wachovia Corp.
