MIDWEST

Guaranty Bank in Springfield, Mo., has hired Mark McFatridge as its executive vice president and chief operating officer.

McFatridge was the president and chief operating officer of OakStar Bank in Springfield. Earlier he was the market president for Regions Financial Corp.'s community banks in Missouri and western Kentucky.

Guaranty has $737 million of assets.


MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Sterling National Bank in New York has hired Bruce Gibson as a vice president and business development officer in its commercial lending group.

Gibson was a vice president and the national business development officer at CIT Commercial Credit. Before that he was a vice president at TriState Capital Bank.

Sterling National has $2.1 billion of assets.


Community National Bank in Great Neck, N.Y., has hired Ralph Meyer Jr. as its vice president of business development.

Meyer was a vice president and regional manager at Aames Home Loan. Before that he was an assistant vice president of North Fork Bank and, earlier, an assistant vice president of Roosevelt Savings Bank for more than 10 years.

Community National has $404 million of assets.


SOUTHEAST

Eagle Bancorp Inc. in Bethesda, Md., has hired Laurence E. Bensignor as a senior vice president of the company and its EagleBank.

Bensignor was a principal of a privately owned real estate firm, Van Metre Cos. Before that he was a partner in Arter and Hadden LLP.

The company also hired Douglas L. Vigen as a senior vice president and EagleBank's head of commercial real estate lending in northern Virginia.

Vigen worked at Wells Fargo Bank, which he joined when it bought his previous employer, Wachovia, in 2008. Before that he was a director in the real estate professional development group at Bank of America in North Carolina.

Eagle Bancorp has $1.7 billion of assets.


WEST

Cathay Bank of Los Angeles has hired Edward K. Kim as an executive vice president and the manager of the commercial banking group for the Los Angeles area.

Kim was an executive vice president of commercial banking for the Los Angeles area at Union Bank, where he had worked since 2000. Before that he oversaw the development of commercial business in Long Beach, Calif., at Wells Fargo Bank, where he had worked for 14 years.

Cathay has $11.5 billion of assets.


Oak Valley Community Bank in Oakdale, Calif., has hired Celia Wilbur as a vice president and manager of its Modesto-Dale branch.

Wilbur was a vice president and mortgage loan officer at County Bank.

Oak Valley has $524 million of assets.


Heritage Bank of Commerce in San Jose, Calif., has hired Myles Taketa as a vice president and deposit relationship manager in its Morgan Hill branch.

Taketa was the founder of a marketing and consulting company. Before that he was a branch manager at South Valley National Bank for 10 years.

Heritage Bank of Commerce has $1.3 billion of assets.
