MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Peapack-Gladstone Financial Corp. in New Jersey has hired Jeffrey J. Carfora as an executive vice president and the chief financial officer.

Carfora was a senior executive vice president and the chief operating officer at PennFed Financial Services Inc. and its Penn Federal Savings Bank.

Before that he had been their executive vice president and chief financial officer from 1993 to 2001.

Peapack-Gladstone has $1.3 billion of assets.


SOUTHEASTNewBridge Bancorp of Greensboro, N.C., has hired Ramsey K. Hamadi as its executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Hamadi had been the CFO at Pulaski Financial Corp. in St. Louis since 2001.

Before that he was an examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

NewBridge has $2 billion of assets.


SOUTHWESTIberiabank Corp. of Lafayette, La., has hired M. Cleland Powell 3rd and Kevin Rafferty as executive vice presidents.

Powell will be the $5.3 billion-asset company's senior commercial manager for New Orleans. He was a senior vice president and senior manager of corporate banking for Whitney National Bank, where he had worked for 36 years.

Rafferty will be the president of the south Texas region and will initiate the development of Iberiabank's commercial team in Houston.

He was the senior vice president and manager of the Houston middle-market group at Whitney. He moved to Houston in 2005 from New Orleans, where he had managed a commercial lending group for Whitney.
