Christ had been the director of real estate investment lending with Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc.'s commercial finance business in Chicago since 2006.
Before that he had been the vice president and chief credit officer for Fifth Third Bancorp since 2001.
Earlier he was a vice president and credit approval officer in Columbus, Ohio, for Bank One, where he had worked since 1988.
Camco has $998 million of assets.
