Fifth Third Bancorp of Cincinnati has promoted Don Coleman as its senior vice president and chief sourcing officer.

Coleman was the director of consumer customer service. He joined the company in 2005 as the vice president of check services.


MIDDLE ATLANTICUBS AG of Zurich has hired Ananias Blocker as its managing director for U.S. public policy.

Blocker was the vice president of government relations with the New York Stock Exchange. Before that he was the managing director of governmental affairs for American Airlines. He will be based in Washington.

 


 Deutsche Bank AG of Frankfurt has hired Timothy Fischer as a managing director in the global credit trading department of its global markets division.

Fischer was a co-head of high-yield trading for North America at Barclays PLC. Before that he traded high-yield debt at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.


WESTUnionBanCal Corp., a San Francisco subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc., has hired Mark L. Stevenson as a senior vice president and Rebecca M. Nelson as a vice president and senior wealth adviser in the private bank division of its Union Bank.

Stevenson was a commercial finance manager for Merrill Lynch & Co. Before that he was a regional manager in U.S. Bancorp's business banking division.

Nelson was the chief marketing officer for investments and director of deposit operations at Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union. Before that she was the vice president of trust and investment services at Greater Bay Bancorp.

UnionBanCal also hired Robert Jacques as a vice president and relationship manager in the legal specialty group of its private bank.

Jacques worked in the law firm group of Citigroup Inc.'s private bank. Before that he was in private practice as a certified financial planner. He is based in Walnut Creek, Calif.

 


 Wells Fargo & Co. of San Francisco has hired Peter Hill as its head of public finance investment banking.

Hill was a managing director and the head of public finance investment banking at Banc of America Securities. Before that he was the managing director and head of U.S. public finance at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

He is based in New York and will report to Phil Smith, the head of government and institutional banking and municipal products for Wells Fargo.
