Pipeline, of Quincy, Mass., said Wednesday that the Jacksonville, Fla., banking technology company would handle its back-office processing, settlement, chargebacks, and customer service.

Pipeline has been expanding its card operations in recent months. In November it announced deals to buy the Nashville merchant acquirer Cocard Marketing Group LLC and Innovative Resource Alliance. Innovative is a holding company that owns TenderCard, a Falmouth, Mass., provider of gift, stored-value, and loyalty card processing systems for small and midsize retailers; and Merchant Services Network, a West Palm Beach, Fla., merchant services provider.

Fidelity National entered the processing market in 2006 by merging with the St. Petersburg, Fla., processor Certegy Inc.
