Fidelity Investments said Wednesday that it has hired Citigroup Inc.'s chief information officer, Marvin Adams, to be the president of its shared services group.
Fidelity Shared Services comprises the fund company's technology group and enterprise operations, as well as Fidelity Real Estate Co. "As our business relies more and more upon robust technology solutions, coupled with efficient operations, Marv's background suits him ideally" to the post, Rodger A. Lawson, Fidelity's president, said in a press release.
Mr. Adams will report to Mr. Lawson. Before working at Citi, Mr. Adams was the information chief and senior vice president of corporate strategy at Ford Motor Co. Before that, he was Bank One Corp.'s chief of information.
