Fifth Third Appoints New Pennsylvania Market President

Fifth Third Bancorp in Cincinnati has named Julie Fallon Hughes as its western Pennsylvania market president.

Hughes most recently worked as the St. Louis area regional president for BMO Harris Bank of Chicago, where she was responsible for commercial, retail and business banking, wealth management and mortgages. She joined BMO Harris, a unit of Bank of Montreal, after it acquired her former employer, Marshall & Ilsley Bank.

Hughes replaces Jay Ferguson, who will now serve as chairman of Fifth Third's western Pennsylvania market.
