Fifth Third Using Endpoint Network

Fifth Third Bancorp of Cincinnati has begun transmitting check images over the network operated by Endpoint Exchange LLC, an Oklahoma City unit of Metavante Corp.

Endpoint announced Thursday that the $99.8 billion-asset Fifth Third is the second to use its connection with the SVPCO Image Payments Network operated by The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC of New York. Endpoint is used by about 4,000 financial companies, mostly community banks.

Endpoint and SVPCO announced the link in April. Fifth Third has been transmitting check images over the SVPCO network since June 2005.

On Wednesday, Fiserv Inc. of Brookfield, Wis., announced that Fifth Third had licensed Nautilus Enterprise Content Management software from its Fiserv Imagesoft in Orlando to image-enable mortgage processing functions from origination to servicing.

The software provides document management and automated workflow and is integrated with two Fiserv products Fifth Third is already using: the UniFi PRO loan origination and MortgageServ loan servicing systems.
