ALBUQUERQUE -- Henry Cisneros, secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, said a new financing authorty would be formed to make more housing available to American Indians.
Speaing to the American Indian Listening Conference, Mr. Cisneros said the National Commission on Indian, Alaskan, and Hawaiian Housing is putting together a strategy to form a native American financial authority.
The conference wad attended by representatives of about 200 tribes from 33 states.
