First Express of Nebraska in Gering and First Wyoming Bancorp. in Laramie have agreed to merge.
The companies did not disclose the price of the deal, which was announced Friday and is expected to close by mid-2016.
The $353 million-asset First Express has 11 branches in Nebraska and Colorado. The $164 million-asset First Wyoming has three branches in the Wyoming cities of Laramie and Cheyenne.
The combined institution will operate as Western States Bank.
