FIRST FEDERAL of Alabama, Jasper, said Robert B. Nolen Jr., executive vice president and chief financial officer, has become president and chief executive officer.
Mr. Nolen replaces Albert H. Simmons, who continues as chairman of the board.
Joy Moser, vice president/controller, has become chief financial officer.
Mr. Simmons said the management changes are part of the thrift's plan to reengineer. It will also give him more time to focus on strategic planning and on developing opportunities for First Federal in the Birmingham market. He said the change will also reduce administrative costs.
