Two units of Fiserv Inc. have expanded a partnership to allow customers of some Canadian banks use automated teller machines for free in the United States.
The Brookfield, Wis., company said last week that it is offering access to the No Sur surcharge-free ATM network, operated by its Accel/Exchange Network, to the more than 235 Canadian financial companies that use the ATM network there operated by its The Exchange Network and marketed by its Ficanex Services LP, of Surrey, British Columbia.
Canadian consumers also can use their debit cards to make purchases and receive cash back at the point of sale at U.S. merchants connected to the Accel/Exchange network for free, Fiserv said.
Customers of U.S. banks that use Accel/Exchange can also use The Exchange Network's 2,200 ATMs in Canada at no cost.
