Fiserv Inc. is offering an "adoption marketing" program to institutions that use its Paytraxx service for electronic bill payment.
The Brookfield, Wis., company said Wednesday that the basic marketing program is free for Paytraxx clients and includes generic statement inserts, newspaper ads, direct mail postcards, and lobby displays, which the institutions can customize.
The program also includes an online interactive audio/video tutorial developed by the Beavercreek Marketing unit of Beavercreek Inc. of Grand Island, Neb.
Fiserv said it has added 214 Paytraxx clients since January and now has more than 650 financial institutions using the service.
Paytraxx offers expedited payments, business bill payments, and account to account transfers.
Fiserv said last month that only half its 6,000 core-processing clients offer electronic bill payment, and that only 20% of those institutions' demand account holders use the service.
This year Fiserv expects to close its $4.4 billion deal to acquire the Atlanta bill payment provider CheckFree Corp.
